「私の日記」Personal diary Vol.4

Hi. It's Kitsuneya.

This is my personal diary after a long time.

Today, I will write what I felt while writing an article about "Japanese food", which is the last two posts.

The reason I decided to write an article about Japanese food was a question from a Twitter user. The question is

"How can I easily make traditional Japanese food?"

It was.

I was happy to ask you a question. And I wanted to respond to that thought.

I immediately replied that I would write an article with that content, and was enthusiastic about which dish to introduce.

I like cooking. I also like to eat delicious food. So I was wondering which of my favorite dishes to write.

However, I stumbled upon a problem. It's a matter of "seasoning".

In traditional Japanese dishes and home-cooked dishes, "soy sauce" and "miso" are often used. And "dashi" is also different from other countries. The main soup stock is "Katsuobushi", "Dried shiitake mushrooms", and "Dried kelp". All the dishes couldn't be made without these.

I was used to cooking in Japan, and I wrote an article about a certain dish without thinking about it. However, I had a big question on the way.

"Huh? Is it easy to get the ingredients for this dish in countries other than Japan?"

I thought this problem was very difficult. I like Japanese food. I want to spread Japanese food. However, I don't want to spread the dishes that cannot be reproduced even if I explain them. I can't give a half-hearted explanation. I thought, I wrote a commentary article on "WASYOKU" first, and introduced "ONIGIRI" which would be relatively easy to make overseas. Of course, ONIGIRI is one of the most familiar traditional dishes in Japan, and the explanation of that article may be difficult to understand, but I haven't written a lie.

Besides ONIGIRI, there are other dishes I would like to introduce. But can these be reproduced in countries other than Japan?

So I would like to ask everyone reading this blog.

How much Japanese food is sold in your area? Do you sell soy sauce and miso at the store? Is it easy to get?

Please let us know what you think.

Recently, there has been a lot of talk about food, so it's time to update other trivia articles, photos, diaries, etc.!

It's a poor blog, but I hope you continue reading it.

see you next time.
