「危険」A dangerous area in many ways in Japan.

Hello everyone.

Today I would like to introduce you to the "dangerous areas" of Japan.

It's not off limits, but it's not safe. It's such a place.

There are various reasons for danger. If you would like to go, please check in advance and make all possible preparations before visiting.

1. Hokkaido Shiretoko Peninsula

It is the northeastern part of Hokkaido. It is a famous tourist destination with abundant nature, many flora and fauna, and a promenade. What is dangerous about this tourist destination is that many brown bears inhabit it. Some people have actually encountered brown bears and have been injured or died. There are also many "foxes" inhabiting, but be careful of the insect "Echinococcus" that parasitizes this fox. It can also infect humans and lead to death. It's very cute, but even if you meet it, just look at it from a distance and don't step on fox droppings.

The Shiretoko Peninsula was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2005 and is also a wonderful place listed in tourist guidebooks. Please visit for sightseeing while being wary of animals.

2. Tanigawadake

It is a mountain between Gunma and Niigata prefectures. The altitude is about 2000m, which is not so high, and it is said that it is easier to climb than other mountains due to the mountain climbing route. But this mountain. In the 81 years from 1931 to 2012, when the record was started, 805 people have died. This record is overwhelmingly higher than the 8000m-class high mountains around the world, and has been recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. It is often called the "mountain of death" or "mountain that eats people".

The reason why so many deaths are that the weather can be very variable. It is not difficult to follow the mountain climbing route, and the altitude is not so high, so many people wear light clothing to climb the mountain. Such people will not be able to cope with sudden bad weather. Also, if you deviate from the route, there are many steep cliffs, and it seems that some people accidentally fall. When climbing a mountain, check the mountain you are climbing and be prepared before climbing.

3. Osaka Prefecture Nishinari district and Airin district

The area that was called the best slum in Japan. There are few people who get regular jobs, and there are many street sleepers who live that day. In addition, criminals were hiding and confused with local residents, and there were many illegal drug dealers. The price of the inn is also cheap, and it is also an area where financially distressed things were gathered. As it is a cheap hotel, there are many bad facilities in the facility, and it seems that there were many damages such as lice, mites and fleas in the past.

There were 24 riots between 1970 and 2008, and police stations in the area were attacked many times. Therefore, the police station is equipped with an iron fence, and the surrounding area is monitored by a surveillance camera for 24 hours. No major riots have occurred since 2008.

As of 2022, the government is trying to improve security, so it seems that the area has become safer than before. Companies that run luxury resorts are building accommodations in this area, and cheap lodgings seem to be cleaner than before, which seems to be popular with backpackers. However, it is still unsafe enough to be in the worst 3 in Osaka city, so be careful when visiting.

4. Kamikawa-cho, Kamikawa-gun, Hokkaido

This is an area where natural hot springs are welling up. There is a hot spring, but there is no post town, so you should not bathe in the hot spring. This is because "there is a hot spring = there is a volcano", and toxic volcanic gas is generated in the area where the hot spring is springing up. Therefore, it seems that wild animals that have died due to gas poisoning have fallen.

In the past, there were accidents in which a person who did not know the details took a bath in a hot spring and died, and a mountaineer who lost his way in a nearby mountain inhaled gas and died. There is nothing to look for in this area, only toxic gas hot springs. You should stay away.

5.Mt. Fuji Aokigahara Jukai

It will be a tree sea spreading at the foot of Mt. Fuji, which became famous all over the world by the distribution of a certain YouTuber. Anyone can actually get in, but I don't recommend it. The inside of the forest is quite large, so if you don't have any equipment, you will be in distress normally. Also, there are many areas where there are many wild animals and many bears, so don't go out for fun.

Also, many people still visit for suicide. Not only can you get caught up in such people, but you can also discover their appearance afterwards. Signs are set up around the Jukai to discourage suicide, but it is true that some people still visit. In addition, neighbors may call you to the police if you are wandering around the forest even though you have no business.

I have also been in the forest. Some roads are paved and can be reached by car. Not all areas, but I felt a unique atmosphere.

If you want to visit Jukai, please only follow the paved road. If you have a business such as a facility in the forest, please visit.
