Today's theme is pretty dark. It's not a good topic, but it's something I want everyone to know.

It's about "Japanese suicide". In Japanese media, it is often said that the suicide rate of Japanese people is higher than that of other countries. I thought I should avoid such a topic, but I will write it as a reality.

The number of suicides in Japan is about 20,000 a year.

In Japan in 2021, there will be about 20,000 people a year. If we include those who have attempted suicide, wouldn't it be 10 times more? It is also considered.

This number is far higher than the number of people who die in traffic accidents in Japan, which means that 50 to 60 people commit suicide a day. Suicide accounts for 2.5% of all deaths in Japan.

Why are so many people committing suicide?

The cause of suicide may be known from a will, a will, or an interview with a person close to the person who committed suicide. The most common reason is

・ Economically difficult to live.

・ It is hard to live due to illness or injury.

・ Problems at home.

・ Reason for work.

And so on. In addition, bullying is often seen in suicides of children such as students.

As for problems in the home, not only the disagreement in the home but also the problems of Japan's aging society such as "I'm tired of caring for the elderly living together" are becoming apparent.

I feel that work and economy are deeply connected. A person who suffers from mental illness due to overwork. In addition, some people earn less than ¥ 150,000 ($ 1250) even if they work five days a week for nearly 10 hours every day. It seems that many of these people commit suicide because they don't have the money to enjoy their hobbies on weekdays, and they don't know what they are living for.

In addition, many people are worried about relationships in the workplace. Not just children. There is bullying at work as well.

However, even with this, the number of people who commit suicide has decreased. In 2005, the number of suicides exceeded 30,000. It's decreasing little by little, but there are still many.

The reality of Japan by age.

Most people in their 60s, 50s, and 40s commit suicide. If you look only at the number of people. However, looking at the data on the reasons for aspiration by age group, we can see a very sad reality.

What, "suicide is the number one cause" that died between the ages of 15 and 44. Japan is safe and clothing is advanced, so there are only a few other causes of death. I think some people say that. indeed. Other causes of death may be low.

However, about 50% of people between the ages of 15 and 29 who died commit suicide. It's half. The younger the generation, the higher the rate of death due to suicide. It is also the number one by cause of death. It's a very sad reality.

However, as I mentioned earlier, the number of suicides is declining year by year.

Don't choose to die yourself.

It's not courage.

You can run away.

It's not a shame to run away to live.
