「お金」Do everyone charge for online games?

Hello. I'm Kitsuneya, the blog operator.

Today's theme is "How much do young Japanese people charge for online games?"

Speaking of games, Japan! I think there are many people who have an image. The world of online games is said to have accelerated demand due to the current epidemic turmoil, and the number of players has increased rapidly. I will introduce how many players in Japan are spending money on the world now.

Players in their 20s are charging 18.4% of the total!

In a survey in Japan, 18.4% of the respondents answered "yes" to the question "Do you spend money on game items and clank ? " In terms of gender ratio, 22.2% of male players and 14.6% of female players are charging.

When I heard this result, the first thing I thought was, "That? Surprisingly few?" There are quite a lot of young people enjoying online games in Japan today. Many of my acquaintances. Besides, you can see that YouTuber and VTuber are charging a lot in the video. Partly because of that, I thought it would be no wonder that many young people are paying more.

The average monthly charge per person is ¥ 4804!

¥ 4804! Is this the average amount? !! can not believe it! I thought it was less. By the way, if you look at the male-female ratio, it seems that the average usage amount for each gender is written by ¥ 4890 for men and ¥ 4673 for females.

I was surprised at this result. About $ 45 is spent every month to charge for games. It is surprising that the amount is the average value. Well, if you get the median, there are probably many players with low prices. Well, isn't it expensive when you think of it as "money used for hobbies"? Maybe it's the same as buying alcohol or eating delicious rice.

What about the players around you? Are you spending more money?

Have you ever had a problem with your life because you paid too much for the game?

I think it's good to spend money on games. I think having a favorite hobby is an important piece to enrich your life.

However, if problems actually occur, I think we must change that idea. In this survey, when asked "Have you ever had a problem with your life because you overcharged?", 9.8% of the paying players answered "yes."

In other words, about 10% of the paying players have financial problems.

Also, when asked "Have you ever regretted paying?", 25% of players answered "Yes."

Hmmm. It's difficult. I spend money because I want to be good at what I like and want to be strong. I don't think it's wrong. But don't forget that you can enjoy the game because you can live your life. If you make a mistake in that order, it may be irreversible. It's not just about games, though. Everything is moderate.

Finally, I also play online games. However, I have never charged. I only play as long as I can play for free. It's not a bad thing to charge, but you should refrain from spending up to your credit card limit. It's okay if you're very rich, but you should play as much as you can guarantee your current life.

That said, I don't want to be in a position to give a negative opinion about online game billing. The media about charging games is 90% critical. This article of mine seems to be better than that. But I think. Professional gamers are a good profession. The times have set up a system to accept it. Those who aim for it may need to pay. Some may say that their hobby is only games. You don't have to criticize those people one by one.

What I want to say is, "Let's enjoy the game for a reasonable amount of money that you won't regret!" And "Don't make such a negative noise to the people around you."

That's all for this article.

Do you guys play online games? Don't spend enough money to regret it.

Online games are one way to enjoy life. You don't have a life to enjoy online games.

Please make sure that the order is correct.

see you next time.
