「日本語」Introducing Japanese proverbs! Vol.2

Hello everyone. It's been long time since I last renewed.

This time it's "Japanese Proverbs" Vol.2.

If you like or are interested in Japanese, please read it.

可愛い子 には 旅をさせよ

Kawaiiko niwa Tabiosaseyo

Literal translation =(Let the lovely child travel.)

It means that you should give yourself a hard time because it is your own cute child.

It is better to let them go on trips and have many experiences, instead of just pampering them in a place where their parents can reach them.

It's nice to travel. can learn a lot.

急がば まわれ

Isogaba Maware

Literal translation =(If you hurry, turn around.)

When you are in a hurry, you should choose a safe method even if it takes time.

A lesson to avoid unexpected troubles in a hurry.

It's easy to make mistakes when you're pressed for time, so be careful.

触らぬ 神 に 祟りなし

Sawaranu Kami Ni Tatarinasi

Literal translation =(No curse on untouchable gods.)

It means don't overdo things.

Don't go out of your way to buy God's wrath. It is sometimes used in situations where you go out of your way to approach an angry person and get angry at yourself.

好きこそ 物の 上手なれ

Sukikoso Monono Jouzunare

Literal translation =(I like what although Nare good.)

It means that you are improving before you know it because you put effort into what you like.

It is also a word of admiration for those who continue to do what they love without giving up.

Can everyone do what they want?

月 と スッポン

Tsuki To Suppon

Literal translation =(moon and soft-shelled turtle)

An example of when there are too many differences when comparing two things

A suppon is an animal that resembles a turtle. Depending on how you look at it, its face is lovely, but compared to the moon, it inevitably pales in comparison, which is why the word came about.

Depending on the situation where you use it, it can be a very rude analogy, so please choose the situation where you use it.
