Hello. everyone.
Today's theme is about "Japanese cherry blossoms". This season is gradually approaching spring. Cherry blossoms will begin to bloom in Japan soon. I was really looking forward to the year! I go out every year to see the cherry blossoms.
Many Japanese people say, "I'm not interested in flowers, but I like cherry blossoms."
Why do Japanese people like sakura? I would like to explain it as much as possible

How long have Japanese people liked Sakura?
If you go back to the record that Japanese people loved cherry blossoms, there are many old records. It is the oldest historical book in Japan called "Kojiki", and in the Japanese myth written in it, "Goddess of Cherry Blossoms" appears, and there is a depiction of the Japanese people at that time who thought beautifully when they saw the cherry blossoms. The "Kojiki" was written in 712 AD. It seems that Japanese people have loved cherry blossoms for more than 1300 years.
"Hanami" is the best!
"Ohanami" is to enjoy sake and food while watching the cherry blossoms near the cherry blossom trees when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. When the cherry blossoms are in bloom, the parks and boulevards where the cherry blossoms are in bloom can be like festivals. Food is sold at food stalls, and in the park, vinyl sheets are spread out and everyone has a party!
But don't make too much noise or drink too much. I can't write an English frame for the people around me. It's a promise!
This "cherry blossom viewing" has a long history and is said to have started around 800 AD. It seems that the emperor at that time started. At first, it was held among aristocrats, but from around 1600 it began to spread to the common people and spread to the masses. It is now one of the important cultures of Japan.
Why are the cherry blossoms so beautiful?
There are three main reasons for this.
1. Flowers bloom faster than leaves come out.
Cherry blossoms have few leaves when the flowers are in bloom. When the flowers die and begin to fall, the leaves come out. It looks beautiful because the leaves do not block the flowers.
2. The flowers bloom almost all at once.
When flowering begins, it blooms one after another in a short time, and at the same time, all the cherry blossoms in the area are in full bloom. Therefore, in a city with many cherry blossoms, it will be all cherry blossoms.
3. The number of blooming flowers is large.
How many flowers do you think a cherry tree will bloom? It seems that about 80,000 to 100,000 flowers will bloom. It's amazing. By the way, it is not uncommon for three flowers to bloom from one bud, and because the flowers are densely blooming, it looks beautiful.
It seems that the cherry blossoms look beautiful from these three elements. Also, the cherry blossoms seem to bloom downward, and humans look up from the ground to appreciate the cherry blossoms, so they can be seen from the front of the flowers. There seems to be a reason like that. I feel that it is a way of blooming for someone to appreciate.
A flower that has greatly influenced Japanese values.
The Japanese often liken life to cherry blossoms. From the beauty of blooming and the loneliness of falling, I think about death and life by looking at the cherry blossoms. "It blooms beautifully and scatters with the wind in a blink of an eye. And the moment it scatters is also beautiful." Because of the ephemeral nature of cherry blossoms, the Japanese have loved them since ancient times, thinking that they are sacred.
Then, wait for you to see the beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom again a year later.
I also want to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom soon! It seems that the cherry blossoms in the vicinity of Tokyo in 2022 will be in full bloom around April 1, so I can't wait! !!
That's all for this article.
Do you have cherry blossoms in your country? If you have one, you should definitely go see it when it is in bloom. If you don't have cherry blossoms but want to see them, or if you like cherry blossoms, please come to Japan in spring. The first week of April from the end of March is the time when cherry blossoms are in bloom around Tokyo. There are gaps in other areas, so if you come to Japan to see the cherry blossoms, please check the area you are going to before you come.
The pictures below from here are the pictures of the cherry blossoms I have taken so far.I hope you enjoy it.
